In the heart of Brantford, Ontario, Lintec Label Solutions Inc. has been quietly revolutionizing our approach to the label and packaging manufacturing industry. With over 200 clients spanning sectors such as food and beverage, healthcare, and cannabis, we’ve earned a reputation for producing high-quality, pressure-sensitive and thermal labels using environmentally friendly methods. But now, we’re our sights on an ambitious new venture—one that promises to redefine our role in the world of packaging.
This story began in November 2022, when Lintec embarked on a transformative project to diversify its product offerings. The idea was simple yet bold: to expand beyond traditional labels and introduce a line of compostable, recyclable, and cost-effective flexible packaging. This would include bags, pouches, roll stock, and wraps made from innovative materials like paper, aluminum, and bioplastics.
Building Partnerships for Progress
No great journey is undertaken alone, and we knew that collaboration would be key. To ensure the success of this new venture, we partnered with Lambton College, a leader in research and innovation. Together, we set out to tackle challenges in safety, recyclability, and reliability while ensuring the new packaging line would be both profitable and sustainable.
The Roadmap to Innovation
Turning this vision into reality required more than just big ideas—it demanded state-of-the-art equipment, facility upgrades, and extensive employee training. Lintec began by investing in advanced manufacturing tools like the Karville Laminator & Slitter and the FLEXPAK leak detector, ensuring high-quality seal integrity for flexible packaging. The addition of an ESKO AVT Vision System promised real-time defect detection, enhancing product quality and minimizing waste.
But the project wasn’t just about technology. Lintec also focused on meeting stringent federal and provincial regulations, ensuring that their new packaging products would be safe for direct contact with food, beverages, and personal care items.
